I support advocacy for the Vote16 movement, which is focused on lowering the voting age for local elections

Wellesley Advocacy

We passed a motion in support of the movement at the November 2025 Special Town Meeting. I co-led this effort, which authorizes the Select Board to place a non-binding public opinion advisory question on the March 2026 ballot, and if voters approve the question, to petition the state to enact special legislation allowing qualified Wellesley residents aged 17 to vote in Town elections.
